Wisanggeniꦮꦶꦱꦁꦒꦼꦤꦶ
Son of Arjuna and Dewi Dresanala, the knight born of fire
Wisanggeni, also called Bambang Wisanggeni, is the son of Arjuna and Dewi Dresanala, a daughter of Batara Brahma. He is an addition of the Javanese puppeteers and does not appear in the Indian Mahabharata. His name means venomous fire.
He is known as powerful, clever and outspoken: he speaks in plain ngoko to everyone, the gods included. In the wayang plays he takes no part in the Baratayuda war.
